    2 years po ang contract ko sa employer at 15 months palang ang natatapos ko. Secretary po ang inaplayan ko dito kaso wala sila maibigay na secretarial position. Pinadala po ako sa branch sa jeddah ng hindi sinasabi kung ano ang work ko. Pinapasok nalang po ako as storekeeper. After 11 months, pinabalik po ako sa dammam. Ginagawa po akong reliever ng mga nagbabakasyon. kaya iba ibang position ang hinahandle ko. Unfortunately, di po ako maka adjust sa weather dito. Lagi po ako nagkakasakit at di na nawala ung sipon ko, and recently, may sumusulpot na rashes sa balat ko. Sapat po kayang dahilan ito para payagan akong magresign? May isang insidente din po na nangyari last month kung saan nabangga ung sinasakyan naming bus at nagka minor fracture ako sa dibdib at namaga ung right leg ko. Ni hindi man lang po ako tinulungan ng company ko na magpunta sa doctor. Napakalayo po ng accomodation namin sa city at kailangan ko pa pong maghanap ng hospital na tumatanggap sa medical card na binigay sa akin para mabawasan ung expenses dahil maliit lang po ang kinikita ko at halos napupunta na sa gamot. Up until now po ay nagtetake ako ng mga medicine para sa fracture ko at ung rashes ko sa balat. I take atleast 5 types of medicine a day at naiisip ko po na napaka unhealthy na nito para sa akin. Gusto ko lang pong malaman kung sapat na reason ito para payagan po ako na magresign at mag exit nalang. Di na baling hindi na po ibigay ung benefits kung meron man basta makauwi lang po ako. Tama po ba gagawin ko? Salamat po sa magiging advice!

      May rason ka para ka mag resign kung talagang may karamdaman ka. Mas maganda kung makakuha ka ng medical report upang ito ay ebidensya para makauwi ka agad. Alam ko kaya mo ang trabaho dahil hindi ito kasama ng iyong reklamo kahit saan kaman nila nilalagay. Bilib rin ako sa iyong tapang, naramdaman ko ang iyong laban dahil dumaan rin ako katulad ng iyong nararansan. Pero kung health na po ang pag-uusapan dapat lamang na huwag ka ng magpatuloy sa work. Idaan mo sa tamang request, sumulat ka sa iyong employer with utmost humility upang payagan kang maka-uwi. Try to convince them armed with your present health condition.

  2. sir, mapipilit pop bang mgatrabaho ang isang OFW kahit na ayaw na nya? paplit palit ng employer sa qatar, DH… inaabuso….pinapabayad ng halaga ng agency kasi nga hindi pa tapos ang contract, eh panu po kung walang pambayad? kaya nga po nagtrabaho abroad para makhanap ng pera….pwede po bang madetain sa embassy ang OFW at maghintay ng amnesteya o libreng uwi dito sa pinas?

    • Pasyalan agad ang Embahada at mag seek refuge po doon. Mayron po tayong Filipino Workers Resource Center at doon po siya manantili habang maghihintay siya sa kanyang travel documents.

    15 TAON NA AKO SA COMPANYANG PINAPASOKAN KO HANGGANG NGAYON AY KADA DALAWANG TAON PA RIN ANG BAKASYON KO.

      Wala po sa batas paggawa ang ganitong probisyon. Ang patungkol sa bakasyon or leave ay nakasulat sa kontrata at ito ay dapat sundin. Ngunit, maaari mo itong hingin at nasa diskresyon ng kompanya kung aprobahan ang iyong request. At kung ito ay aprobahan, puwede mong hingin ang 30 days vacation dahil lumagpas ka na ng 5 taon na serbisyo sa iyong employer.

      SLL Article 109.1: A worker shall be entitled to a prepaid annual leave of not less than twenty one days, to be increased to a period of not less than thirty days if the worker spends five consecutive years in the service of the employer.

Sir,marami po talagang employer na hindi sumusunod sa patakaran,isa po kami sa biktima,wala po kaming dayoff at every 2 months po kung magbigay ng salary at 3 years contract pa gusto nilang mangyari,nilapit na po namin ito dato sa POLO,nakausap po namin si Sir Rene,pero isa lang po sinagot sa amin,”normal lang daw dito yon” kaya pinagtiisan na namin kahit hirap kami,sana po matulungan nyo kami makauwi pag natapos na namin yung 2 years contract namin,sino po ba pwede naming lapitan?thanks.

  6. sana maglibot ung embahada dito sa saudi rgarding sa mga pinapahirapan umuwi o tinitengga at sana almin nila ung mga gngwang di magnda ng mga employer sa mga employee………

      Hindi sana mangyari ang mga problema at site kung ang mag-approve ng mga Job Orders ay nag inspect or nag imbistiga muna sa kompanya or employer kung ito ba ay may magandang patakaran, facilities, on time ba ang sahod, may concrete company rules and regulations at mabait sa mga expatriates employees. Ang ibig ko pong sabihin, ang ating POLO ang mag approve ng mga job orders dito pa lang sa KSA bago ito ma-forward sa POEA. Dito pa lang maaari na nating malaman kung maganda ba ang kompanya na ito para sa ating mga OFW. Puwedeng magtanong sa mga pinoy na empleyado ng kompanya, puwedeng mag SPY ang POLO kung anong klaseng kompanya ang nag request for approval of job orders. Kung magagawa ito, waal sanang mga complaint or reklamo ang lahat ng mga OFW dahil siguradong mapunta sila sa magandang kompanya or employer or establishments.

      Kaya ang OFW Congress ay nagsumite ng position paper kay Pres. Noynoy at VP Binay tungkol dito. Portion of the said Position paper states the following:

      WHEREAS, the frequent issue regarding the plight of our run away Filipina Domestic helpers, contract substitution and non-honoring of contract; WE urge the President to re-examine the mandate and the role of Philippine agencies whose authority includes: acceptance and approval of Job Orders from countries where there are rampant contract substitution, maltreatment and abuse.

      Sana naman po ay mabasa nila ito at bigyan ng kaukolang pansin.

  7. sir, i am a nurse here in saudia working in a polyclinic. i have 2 yrs working contract but our employer applied for 1 yr iqama only.. now we have to renew our iqama and our employer is passing the expenses on us.. Do we really have to pay for the renewal of our iqama or should our employer pay for this, as the new saudi law states?

      Copy the foregoing message about iqama and show it to your employer, pero sa mahinahon na pamamaraan.

      in accordance with the Council of Ministers Decision No. 90 dated 14/5/1418H or Royal Decree M51 dated 1415H, the IQAMA or residence permit shall be borne by the employer.”

  8. Who in the Philippine will act onthis? I went to OWWA, I went to DFA, I went to Presidential action center and until now there is no results. Thirteen of my sisters are suffering the same. The Ministry of health self operation program broke the standard law to house or accomodate me as employee. They do not have concern but the arabic contrac says I have the accomodation benefit. This is a clear manifestation of cheating and Islam do not practice cheating. God could see everything in this damn world. Islam is peace and not to cheat

      As i scan “my comments” meron pala akong nakaligtaan itong sa iyo. am so sorry. ngayon ko lang napansin na may mas nauna kapa palang sulat bukod sa sulat mo kahapon na tinanong ko kung ano ang iyong concern.   9. In 2003 of November I was hired as audiometry technician to work for Al gurayat General Hospital, thru Best one International agency under the sponsorship of Scientific medical and equipment house. My Iqama is under the name of the company (SMEH)
    After the three years contract, The Ministry of health did not let us go instead they absorbed the nurses and technicians to maintain the manpower of the hospital, They promised that our iqama will be transferred to the ministry of health self operation program with the salary increased of 100 oercent. But the whole three years they only transferred the nurses iqama. Thirteen technicians including me kept waiting and our iqama remains under the company scintifoc medical equpment house valid till 1431 of the hijra calendar. last April of 2010, the ministry of health self operation program issued a letter of termination to thirteen of us stating that they can not transfer or recogtnized our iqama. They issued the memorandum by arabic version only. All of us thirteen technical employees left woth one way plane ticket. they did not give benefit and our 30 days vacation due for 2010. In the contract which I have the Muslim affair of the philippines translated, I should have housing allowance at least three (3) months of basic salary per year, which I usually hear if they did not give you free accomodation inside the hospital. I rented an old house fifteen monites walk from the Al Gurayat hospital paying from my own money taken frim my salary. provide my own bed, tables and everything. I could even install my own air conditioning due to lack of fund. my only question is , Can i claim for this housing which they did not fulfilled even thoug it was stated clearly in the contract? What can I do tho this case. I am 54 years old now and it is very difficalt to find a job. nobody would accept me because at the age of 54, I am overage. Inspite of my diligent service and performance fir the service for the Saudi people, as of this moment, I could not enroll my children to school and I could not meet our daily expenses to support my family. Please help me where could I ask an assistance about my case. I am looking forward for your reply.
