Filipino organizations worldwide will be having a three days conference dubbed as “Overseas Filipino Congress” in Dumaguete City, the capital of Negros Oriental on December 6-8, 2007.

The said event initiated by the The Overseas Filipino Council (OFC) seeks to establish a close partnership with all Filipinos worldwide in order to help the Philippines achieve a common goal towards economic progress. The focus of the conference is to formulate out plans and programs in which the Overseas Filipinos can contribute development of our homeland, create more jobs, development of Small and Medium Enterprises and other means of economic endeavors.

The OVERSEAS FILIPINO COUNCIL, the main sponsor of the First Overseas Filipino Congress, was established on November 5, 2005 in California USA. It is registered as a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization in the state of California USA, composed of its ten founding board members, namely:
