The Examinations were supervised by a Team from the PRC, headed by Director Lily Ann R. Baldago, Head of the 5-member PRC Team.

The Philippine Regulations Commission has been conducting SPLBE overseas since 1997 to qualified OFWs while working in the Middle East or other foreign countries.

01This year’s examination in Riyadh was organized and coordinated by the officers and members of Philippine Professional Organizations (PPO) under the leadership of its current Chairman Engr. Modesto Gibas.

PRC Resolution No. 2011-627 directs the PRC and the Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) to conduct SPLBE with the active role and participation of  Philippine Embassies/Consulates and Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLOs) abroad.

The just concluded Special Professional Licensure Board Examinations were administered for 7 disciplines. Nursing still topped the number of examinees with 87 examinees, closely followed by Architecture with 86 examinees, Registered Master Electrician with 54 examinees, Civil Engineering with 49 examinees, Mechanical Engineering with 46 and Certified Public Accountants with 24 examinees.

OFW-applicants who wants to avail SPLBE in the future can submit requests through their respective overseas professional organizations or by OFW-applicants themselves to Philippine embassies or consulates through the POLOs.

The Philippine posts or the POLOs shall then submit to the PRC data on the number of pre-registered OFW-applicants, at least three months before the proposed date of the examinations.
