Nagpaalam kasi ako s amo k n uuwi ako at nawawala ang anak k nong sept. 21 p ang sabi nla holiday dw kaya ng aantay ako pero d n ako makapagtrabaho ngmuk2 nlang ako d ako makakain kakaisip… Ang sabi ng amo k 2 to 3 wiks dw ang process d k n kaya mg antay ng ganon katagal mababaliw n ako s kakaisip kung anu n ngyari s anak k..   3. Magandang Araw po! Gusto ko lang po sana itanong nag ka problema po kasi ako dito sa jordan sa di ko pag pasok last friday, nagalit po yung amo ako halos di na po ako pinapapasok ng isang buwan hanggang ngayon tengga lang ako sa bahay na tinutuluyan namin (naka Things will get better, maybe not so soon. But eventually.lock pa) tapos kagabi sabi ng kasamahan ko pinapa-uwi nalang daw ako ng pinas. At ang sabi lahat daw ng ginastos ng company na nag papunta sakin dito sa Jordan sasagutin ko daw po, pati yung pinang pa I-kama sakin plus yung travel ticket pauwi. Ganun po ba talaga kapag ayaw na nga employer sa staff ganun nalang po kadali pauwiin ng wala namang mabigat na dahilan kahit na mag kontrata pa. At tama po ba na ako po ang lahat ng sasagot ng expenses dahil ayaw na sakin nung amo ko?

    • Joy, kung household worker ka diko alam kung sakop ka sa Jordanian Labor Law. Pero ang isang absent ay hindi sapat na dahilan upang e-terminate ka ng employer.

      Kung sakop ka ng batas paggawa ng Jordan, please note of the following:

      Article (28): Employer may discharge the Employee without notice in any of the following cases:

      (e) If the Employee absents himself without legitimate reason more than twenty intermittent days during the year or more than ten consecutive days provided that the discharge is preceded by a written warning…..

      Article (26):
      a) If the Employer terminates the limited period work contract prior to the expire of the period therefore or if the Employee terminates it due to one of the reasons mentioned under article (29) of this law, the Employee shall have the right to receive all the rights and benefits stipulated in the contract and shall be entitled to the wages that become payable up to the expire of the remaining period of the contract unless the termination of the contract is a discharge pursuant to article (28) of this law.

Hello po bagong dating lang po kami dito sa saudi kasama mga kaibigan ko noong July20 itatanong ko lng po sana kung may law po about sa bigayan ng sahod parang may nabasa ko ako nun na 10days before the end of the month dapat binibigay na nila ang mga sahod ng empleyado? Kasi po dto samin hanggang ngaun po di pa binibigay ang sahod namin kailangan pa naming sabihin na ibigay nila.

    And one thing more po our contract po is not verified by POLO ano po dapat naming gawin para just incase po na mgkaproblema pwede po naming gamitin ung contract as a requirement para makagawa ng complaint?

    • Hindi ko po naalala in my two decades as ofw in KSA na advance ng 10 days ang sahoran. There are two calendars para sa araw ng sahod used in KSA the Arabic and the English. Paki clarify lamang po sa inyong HR kung anong calendar ang gamit nyo.

      Tungkol sa verification ng kontrata, at naniwala kayong hindi ito na verify ng POLO, puwede po kayong pumunta sa POLO at ipa check ang kontrata. The POEA rules and regulation says:

      Contract verification shall refer to the procedure being conducted or applied by the Labor Attaché to ensure that all the employment rights, benefits and welfare of Filipino migrant workers at the worksite are duly protected. The Labor Attaché shall also ensure that the employment contracts of Overseas Filipino Workers are consistent with the prevailing employment laws, standards and practices in both the Philippines and the host country, and that the documentary requirements for overseas employment as required by the Administration are complied with.
